Former Bond Girl Learns Filipino Martial Arts In Action Series
MANILA, Philippines – Viewers loved her as James Bond’s femme fatale Valenka in 2006’s “Casino Royale.” Now, Ivana Miličević returns as a thief-turned-family woman in her biggest action series to date.
Ivana, who plays Carrie Hopewell in Cinemax’s 10-episode “Banshee,” has undergone extensive of physical training to meet the demands of her action scenes. It is interesting to know that the American actress, born to a Croatian family, actually loves Philippine martial arts.
“I learned Kali, which is a Filipino martial arts. I also learned Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, among other trainings,” the former Bond girl revealed in a recent phoner with Bulletin Entertainment and other Asian journalists.
